The young surfer began her journey into surfing at the age of five and won the first surf contest by age six. When she was 7 years old, she got a sponsor. The year 2005 was when Anastasia first started to surf, prior to moving to Hawaii. She won her first surf event at the age of 6 using an old board she had found outside of the house she lived in. Ashley was 16 at the time she took part at the NSSA National Championship. Ashley was awarded the Triple Crown Rookie of the Award in 2003. Additionally, she was awarded two National Scholastic Surfing Association Championships and the Professional Surfing Tour of America title. Ashley is the 2010 Pipeline Women's Pro winner in Hawaii.
